The "River Cubs Dual-Immersion" name is inspired by the lush Oregon wildlife landscape in the Pacific Northwest.
Why River? As we are located in the Willamette Valley, and the Willamette River crosses our city, we chose to implement "river" in our name.
Why Bear Cubs? The Pacific Northwest is home to the American black bear and the grizzly bear. Bear cubs depend on their mother for the first 17 months of their life, a crucial development stage where each cub learns life-long skills.
Why River Cubs? At the height of the salmon season, mother bears take their young up the river to catch their precious meal before their long hibernation. A crucial and important stage in the young cub's life.
Much like bear cubs, our students are free to explore and play as they learn about the wonderful world sorrounding them.
We are River Cubs.
