Mrs. Annie
Mrs. Annie, a passionate educator has over 25 years of nurturing young hearts. She taught and directed various children's ministry in the vibrant city of Miami. After relocating to Oregon, she dedicated five years to uplifting the Hispanic community within the Springfield School District. Later, she became a Quality Improvement Specialist at Lane Community College, training childcare providers on diversity, safety, and compliance.
In her most recent endeavor, she served as a bilingual licensor for the State of Oregon, overseeing childcare providers. Annie is a master trainer with Step 10 certification in the Oregon Registry Online (ORO), holds an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, and is diligently pursuing her Bachelor's degree.
Her heartfelt mission is to cultivate an environment where preschool children feel cherished, secure, and engaged, all while mastering two languages and blossoming into responsible citizens.
Miss Kat
Miss Kat holds a Bachelor of Arts with honors from the University of Oregon. Raised in Miami, her multicultural background influences her perspective on cultural awareness and intersectionality.
Fluent in English and Spanish, she is proud of her Guatemalan-American heritage. With over five years of experience in education, she has contributed to the Springfield School District, facilitated summer camps, taught in classrooms, and worked as a tutor.
She is passionate about storytelling and fostering an inclusive environment for children to explore their identities, aiming to positively impact their lives through education and cultural representation.
Miss Katy
Miss Katy hails from Ecuador, holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and Pharmacy and an Associate Degree in Health Science. She immersed herself in a cultural exchange three years ago as an Au pair, which gave her the ability to adapt to different cultures and customs. Miss Katy is bilingual in both English and Spanish!
With more than 5 years of experience in the education, she has the creativity and motor skills to teach the little ones and make learning a great adventure for them.
Miss Katy loves crafting and creating fun activities to learn, and influence in the development of psychomotor skills. She enjoys giving children tools to open up their minds and explore the world in a great and safe environment.
Mrs. Lina
Mrs. Lina hails from Oaxaca, Mexico, and is married with four children, who are her pride and joy. Her eldest son is 23 years old, while her youngest is 16. Mrs. Lina has devoted her life to nurturing her children, who are not only fully bilingual but also possess advanced education and are gainfully employed. Above all, she takes pride in raising them to be exemplary citizens with strong moral values.
Mrs. Lina firmly believes that family is the cornerstone of life and cherishes the time spent with her husband and children. Additionally, she has a lovely dog named Rosko. Mrs. Lina is thrilled to work at River Cubs, viewing it as a valuable opportunity to further her knowledge in the field of Early Childhood Education.
Mr. Edgar
Born in Guatemala, Mr. Edgar proudly identifies as both Guatemalan through his father and Salvadoran through his mother. He is not only an entrepreneurial visionary but also an exemplary father. The success of his parenting is rooted in his deep love for God and his remarkable ability to bring joy through humor.
His witty repartee establishes him as a respected father figure and educator. Children who engage with Mr. Edgar regard him as respectful, humorous, playful, and patient. Mr. Edgar works in our Afterschool program where his expertise in Mathematics, Science, and History allows him to provide valuable assistance to students in these subjects.
