Annie took the initiative to ensure her children became fluent in both Spanish and English and instilled a deep appreciation for their Guatemalan heritage. Drawing on her teaching experience, Annie consistently read to her children in both languages every night and them how to write. Both children are bilingual and successful in school and work.
